Vagrant

Vagrant is a tool for setting up a development server environment on your local machine. Using a Vagrant configuration file you are able to automate the process of creating the servers technology stack on the basis of a virtual machine that is living on your local workstation. Since the configuration of your Vagrant environment is based on a simple config file, it is easy to share you setup among your team.

Vagrant or better said puppet or chef both have a little bit of a learning curve. Usually it is totally fine to start with on of the Vagrant configurations listed below and add your requirements:
